African Metal Sculptures – Products

African Metal Sculptures produce unique and characterful birds, insects, fish and mamals.Each piece is carefully welded together having been cut out from old oil drums and scrap metal. The African artists and craftsmen who create these beautiful and delicate works of art work in Co-operatives within their local communities bringing a fresh and contemporary approach to art of sculpting metal.

The Process
The oil drums are first burnt to remove any paint or residues, the are then cut into sections using gas torches. Hand cut piece are then carefully prepared for welding. The process is lengthy with each individual metal sculpture piece being either copper plated or metal and are given a few coats of varnish for protection once the process has been completed. Each piece is individually hand-made and is not manufactured using Western production processes, guaranteeing a totally unique sculpture every time.

These African Metal Sculptures are highly versatile and are equally at home indoors, or Outdoors under a patio, pergola or as stunning garden features.
